In bygone days, men escaped the realities of life and bonded with their gender at frat parties, hunting expeditions or over tales of heroic war efforts next to a blazing campfire. A typical guys’ night out included meeting the fellas for some beers, playing some pool or poker, or watching sports. Today, when men really need to escape, they call up their buddies, leave the women and children at home, and take a “mancation.” The “mancation,” or man’s vacation, is the latest trend in the travel industry involving a group of guys who just need to get away. And, nobody caters to a man’s getaway quite like Las Vegas, the quintessential guys-weekend destination.

A mancation to Las Vegas is not just for bachelor parties anymore. With plenty of entertainment, action and adventure, there is something for every taste, style and budget. If it’s relaxation you’re after, you’ll enjoy spending mornings on the golf course, afternoons at the spa – indulging in exclusive men’s treatment packages – and evenings in the casino. If you’re escaping to do some serious partying, your days might be best spent at the race and sports book, on an off-roading ATV adventure or recovering from the night before at the pool. Your nights will be filled with endless nightclub, bar and lounge choices, in addition to some hot entertainment options. Whatever you and the guys are looking for, Las Vegas has what it takes to make the guys’ trip a success.

So, how do you plan the ultimate guys’ getaway? First, by calling deals to las vegas!

You can have  fun at  the many hotels that cater to the male guest including Hooters, Palms and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. At Hooters, you’ll enjoy a casual setting where, at any one time, you’ll find yourself in the company of up to 200 Hooters Girls. When you’re ready to get your game on, you’ll have no problem finding action at the sports book or a poker table. Take the party to the Palms where you’ll discover the world’s only Playboy Club. Featuring high-stakes gaming, iconic Playboy Bunnies and Moon nightclub just upstairs, it’s an experience not to miss. Then, stay in the Hardwood Suite, the only suite in the world with an indoor half-court basketball court and 10,000 square feet of party space. Turn up the testosterone at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and catch a concert at The Joint, party at Body English or enjoy an evening at Nobu with world-famous modern Japanese cuisine.

With more than 60 top-notch golf courses a short drive away, the guys can spend the sun-drenched days on the links. After a round, it may be time to hit one of Las Vegas’ acclaimed spas for a relaxing sports massage. For total indulgence, choose the Gentleman’s Escape package at MGM Grand which includes a Swedish massage, Eucalyptus scalp treatment, Energizing facial and Calm Aroma pedicure. At THEhotel at Mandalay Bay, get a Gentlemen Only Facial at The Bathhouse or even drop by Art of Shaving at Mandalay Place or Fashion Show Mall for an old-fashioned, soothing, straight-razor shave.

For the adventurous groups, skip the massage and instead drive stock cars at the Richard Petty Driving Experience, follow up your “scratch” golf round with some lessons at the Butch Harmon School of Golf, take an off-road 4×4 adventure tour of the desert or even take on your buddies in the Fighter Pilot For-A-Day program through Air Combat USA.

After the day’s through, dinner and drinks are a must, and Las Vegas has some of the finest restaurants and nightclubs around. Start out your night at Le Burger Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas and enjoy a lively meat-and-potatoes sports grill featuring the world’s most creative burgers. Bobby Flay’s Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace is the place to enjoy vibrant Southwestern cuisine. Then, just head next door to the Pussycat Dolls Lounge to enjoy sexy, burlesque stage shows. Head downtown to Gold Diggers, at the Golden Nugget, a new nighclub experience, or Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas, the 12,000-square foot rendezvous nightclub.

Whatever you and your pals are looking for, Las Vegas is the place to find it for a guaranteed good time!

Free attractions line the Las Vegas Strip and they’re not hard to find. The Mirage’s volcano erupts in a lagoon filled with waterfalls and palm trees every 15 minutes from dusk to midnight. The Mirage has joined forces with legendary Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Indian music sensation Zakir Hussein, and the Fountains of Bellagio design firm WET to create an all-new audio/visual spectacle for its famous volcano attration. WET forges a primal volcanic environment of sound, light, music and heat with choreographed FireShooters, which send massive fireballs more than 12 feet into the air. The volcano attraction features a state-of-the-art sound system with music and sound specially created by Hart and Hussein.

Next door, nightly passersby can catch the “Sirens of TI” at Treasure Island. The revamped version showcases the popular pyrotechnic war as male renegade pirates battle “sexy sirens” of Sirens’ Cove. Performances run every 90 minutes beginning at 7 p.m.

Meanwhile, the world-famous Fountains at Bellagio thrill visitors with more than 1,000 water-emitting devices choreographed to music by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Whitney Houston and Andrea Bocelli.

At The Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, the newly reinvented “Show in the Sky” features dancers in costume fashions on floats suspended above the crowd. Three different performances include sexy and seductive “scenes” coordinated to today’s top music hits.

Downtown’s famous, casino-lined street is now the Fremont Street Experience, a 175,700-square-foot pedestrian area covered by a continuous canopy studded with more than 14 million lights. Each evening on the hour, this canopy comes alive with spectacular light-and-sound shows.

From Las Vegas Hilton to Luxor to JW Marriott, most major resorts offer free lounge entertainment that is available practically around the clock.

Low-priced attractions abound as well. “The Mac King Comedy Hour” at Harrah’s Las Vegas is a great show value, with tickets priced at $24.95. The show contains quirky humor, visual gags and King’s sleight-of-hand, all delivered in a tongue-in-cheek fashion. Other matinees worth checking out are Popovich Comedy Pet Theater or Amazed! The Magic of Music and Comedy, both at the V Theater at Planet Hollywood, with tickets priced under $40 per person.

For lunchtime bargain-hunters, nothing beats the classic $1.99 shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, the oldest hotel in Las Vegas. For gourmet on a budget, many Las Vegas buffets now offer fare from around the world and at a reasonable price. MGM Grand Buffet invites guests to take advantage of a $29.99 “All-Day Meal Pass.” Available Monday through Thursday, each pass allows for one breakfast, one lunch and one dinner – a savings of almost 50 percent. DINING – RESTAURANTS – CHEFS
Once known for its all-you-can-eat buffets and bargain shrimp cocktails, Las Vegas has transformed itself into a top culinary destination. Within a decade, Las Vegas has redefined the culinary and wine experience by offering the most comprehensive collection of celebrity chefs and world-class restaurants, more Master Sommeliers than any other city in the world and more wine sold per capita than in any other destination.

Southern Nevada is home to more than 1,400 general restaurants and 260 buffets. These numbers are just a small part of the overall food & beverage culture in the region and do not account for the thousands of snack bars, take-out venues and drinking establishments which also populate the area.

Bon Appétit magazine, a leading authority in the culinary world, cemented Las Vegas’ place among U.S. dining capitals by declaring the destination as one of the nation’s top five restaurant cities. In fact, the publication has partnered with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, and Las Vegas resorts, to host an annual epicurean event called Vegas Uncork’d. This four-day event in May provides an intimate connection with legendary chefs, along with grand tastings of their delectable creations.

Las Vegas continues to be recognized year after year for its quality restaurants. For 2010, Las Vegas AAA Five Diamond-rated restaurants include Alex at Wynn Las Vegas (fifth consecutive year), Joel Robuchon at MGM Grand (fourth consecutive year), Le Cirque at Bellagio (seventh consecutive year), Picasso at Bellagio (ninth consecutive year) and Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace (second consecutive year). AAA rates nearly 60,000 restaurants and lodgings each year throughout all 50 states, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, providing the broadest coverage of any U.S. rating system, both geographically and by number of properties rated. Of those, only 113 resorts and 52 restaurants earned the highly coveted AAA Five Diamond rating for 2010.

What’s New?
As the dining scene continues to evolve in Las Vegas, new restaurants continue to open nearly every month, providing unique experiences for repeat visitors. Some of the many new restaurants include the following:

Martin Heierling, the acclaimed innovator behind Bellagio’s renowned Sensi, serves as executive chef for Vdara and its restaurant Silk Road. Inspired by the ancient trade route, Silk Road’s contemporary Mediterranean menu begins with only the freshest sustainable ingredients, and then travels the world via Middle Eastern and Asian influences brought to Europe along the legendary route.

Restaurants debuting their first Las Vegas locations at Crystals include Eva Longoria Parker’s Beso and Mastro’s Ocean Club, joined by an exciting new pub concept by Todd English, Todd English P.U.B. Wolfgang Puck offers two innovative new restaurant concepts, The Pods by Wolfgang Puck and Brasserie PUCK, a French-style Brasserie which features great American favorites.

Situated on the 23rd floor of Mandarin Oriental is the first U.S. restaurant by world-renowned, three-star Michelin Chef Pierre Gagnaire. Twist by Pierre Gagnaire infuses the simplicity of classic French cuisine with a modern spin, relying on a pairing of flavors and textures for which Gagnaire is renowned. Guests also can enjoy small bites and high tea rituals at theTea Lounge; fresh preparations of world-class cuisine at MOzen Bistro; and gourmet pastries, cakes, sandwiches and more at Amore Patisserie, located directly on Las Vegas Blvd.

Sirio Maccioni has introduced Sirio Ristorante at ARIA featuring Italian favorites. Michael Mina heads up American Fish featuring refined American Cuisine. Julian Serrano has opened his namesake restaurant offering a more casual concept featuring innovative interpretations of Spanish fare. Jean-Georges Vongerichten will add Jean Georges Steakhouse to the mix. The Light Group has unveiled an edgy American dim sum style concept called Union. Jean-Philippe Maury has opened Jean-Philippe Patisserie featuring a variety of breakfast pastries, sandwiches and desserts. Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino has opened Chart House as part of the new Rush Tower. Chart House offers top-of-the-catch seafood and succulent steaks, and features a 75,000-gallon tropical fish aquarium.

Rock legend Sammy Hagar has opened his world-famous Cabo Wabo Cantina inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The two-level, 15,000-square-foot nightclub and restaurant replaces the highly visible location previously occupied by Trader Vic’s. Offering a blend of live music and coastal Mexican fare, Cabo Wabo Cantina features traditional and contemporary selections inspired by Cabo San Lucas as well as a cocktail menu with a heavy emphasis on tequila.

Hard Rock International has opened a new Hard Rock Cafe Las Vegas located on the Strip anchoring the Showcase Mall development. The 42,000-square-foot flagship cafe features a 950-seat restaurant, live concert venue and the world’s largest Rock Shop complete with Hard Rock’s limited-edition merchandise. The memorabilia collection is showcased via innovative multimedia technology including interactive experiences using Microsoft Surface and Rock Wall multi-touch technology. This is Hard Rock’s second cafe location in Las Vegas. The original cafe, located at the Hard Rock Hotel, remains open.

Celebrity Chefs
Historically, major hotel-casinos featured “gourmet rooms” in order to cater to high rollers’ tastes. Each restaurant created an ambience designed to transport diners to a world far away from the action of the casinos. However, by the late ’90s, high-end eateries became the rage with their appeal extending beyond just high rollers. Las Vegas hotels recruited some of the top chefs in the world to open and run restaurants inside their properties. Today, Las Vegas has the most comprehensive collection of the world’s top chefs and television icons. Continuing to satisfy Las Vegas visitors’ appetites, they include – in alphabetical order:

All-You-Can-Eat
In the early ’40s, the first buffet opened at the original El Rancho Vegas Hotel, the Las Vegas Strip’s first hotel. Beldon Katleman, El Rancho’s owner, initiated the all-you-can-eat-for-a-dollar “Midnight Chuck Wagon Buffet” in an effort to keep patrons on the property during late-night hours. His idea of treating guests to an elaborate array of food for a small price was copied again and again. As a result, the Las Vegas buffet has earned its place in the city’s history.

Buffets are still popular in Las Vegas. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the average buffet features about 45 food selections per meal including salads, fruits, roast beef, baked ham, roast turkey, vegetables and a variety of desserts. Several properties are taking their buffet experiences to the next level. The Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino renovated its Rio Carnival World Buffet and Village Seafood Buffet by increasing its dish selections. The Carnival World Buffet has more than 300 offerings and 70 dessert dishes from around the world – from pizza to omelets and from teppanyaki to fresh pasta. The Buffet at TI (Treasure Island) and Cravings at The Mirage both showcase an international line-up as well with American barbeque, a sushi bar, and specialty pastas – all in addition to the traditional buffet items. Meanwhile, Flavors, Harrah’s Las Vegas’ newest buffet, features live cooking stations, freshly prepared seafood, Prime Rib and a varied menu that also includes Churrasco (Brazilian BBQ), hand-rolled sushi and Italian casseroles prepared in a wood-burning oven.

Entertainment Dining
Dining and entertainment go hand-in-hand at several locations throughout Southern Nevada. Dinner theater options include the “Tournament of Kings” at Excalibur where guests are transported to the feasts of the Renaissance while watching a knightly battle. If you’re in the mood for love, how about “Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding” at Planet Hollywood? Be a special guest of Anthony Nunzio, Jr., and Valentina Lynne Vitale, an Italian-American couple who come from two slightly dysfunctional families. The wedding is complete with drunken guests, a pregnant maid-of-honor, an impromptu “YMCA” dance and, of course, family bickering. Guests can either participate in the wedding with actors who never step out of character or they can simply watch the family drama unfold.

Themed Restaurants
Las Vegas also boasts a bevy of themed restaurants. Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, located near The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, is an authentic replica of the Munich Hofbräuhaus. The restaurant features German/Bavarian cuisine, imported Bavarian beer, meat and sausage produced exclusively for Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas and Bavarian pretzels imported directly from Munich. Music connoisseurs can nosh on gourmet hamburgers while soaking up the unique atmosphere and music memorabilia at the Hard Rock Café. Planet Hollywood serves up the best Hollywood fare inside the Forum Shops, while NASCAR Café (Sahara) and ESPNZone (New York-New York) are must-sees for sports enthusiasts. Parrotheads can nosh on a “Cheeseburger in Paradise” at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville at the Flamingo and the Harley-Davidson Café serves up chow for Hog aficionados.

Cooking Classes
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to prepare cuisine like a world-class chef, now you can. Numerous restaurants now offer cooking classes. Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas is offering a new cooking class series on how to prepare French-inspired recipes and pair them with wine. Executive Chef Terry Lynch and a Mon Ami Gabi wine connoisseur will lead cooking demonstrations on select Saturdays throughout the year. Renowned restaurateur Piero Selvaggio’s Italian eatery, Giorgio Caffe & Ristorante, offers custom cooking classes for groups ranging from 15 to 40 people. Located at Mandalay Place, the classes include a full tasting menu and can be scheduled any day of the week. At Cafe Ba Ba Reeba! at Fashion Show, groups can learn how to prepare paella, the classic Spanish dish. This class is offered on Saturdays and includes a five-course lunch with tapas and two wines. Master Sushi Chef of Loews Hotels, Chef Osamu “Fuji” Fujita, will personally conduct sushi classes inside Marssa restaurant at Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort. The two-hour sushi and sake clinic is designed to educate participants about traditional Tokyo and Osaka-style Japanese cuisine in a fun, hands-on environment. SUSHISAMBA Strip, located on the retail level of The Shoppes at The Palazzo, has announced an interactive, two-hour teaching and tasting event called SUSHI+SAKE 101. Entertainment Venues

Classic Las Vegas showrooms may offer a close glimpse of superstars with seating to accommodate several hundred to more than 4,000 guests. Las Vegas’ larger arena-style venues can host crowds well into the tens of thousands.

Event centers and arenas sell out regularly and have featured myriad celebrity acts including U2, the Rolling Stones, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Cher, Barbra Streisand, Madonna, Garth Brooks and many more.

The Palms debuted a new concert venue last year. The Pearl, which seats 2,400 guests, is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for recording live albums.

The MGM Grand Garden Arena is a 17,157-seat special events arena that can accommodate concerts, sporting events and awards shows. In 1993, the Grand Garden made history when Barbra Streisand returned to the stage for a legendary New Year’s Eve
show after a 20-year hiatus.

Performers as versatile as the destination itself have played to capacity crowds at the 12,000-seat Mandalay Bay Events Center. The Three Tenors, Ricky Martin, Juan Gabriel, Barenaked Ladies, Andrea Bocelli, Tim McGraw and the Eagles are just some of the artists who have brought their talents to the Las Vegas Strip. World championship boxing and other sporting events are also held at the Events Center.

The $95 million Colosseum at Caesars Palace is the contemporary interpretation of its ancient namesake in Rome. The facility is adaptable to varied types of entertainment when these shows are dark. In addition to accommodating headliners, it can be configured to host special events, including boxing.

Similar to its Los Angeles counterpart, legendary and up-and-coming musical artists have made stops at Mandalay Bay’s House of Blues, an intimate venue with a capacity of 1,800. Performers have included Norah Jones, Everclear and Cheap Trick.

The Theatre for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino is a 7,000-seat, state-of-the-art venue. The traditional seating auditorium makes the theater an ideal place to see a concert, Broadway-style production, awards show and other types of entertainment.

Hard Rock Hotel has opened an all-new premiere concert venue. The Joint features a cutting-edge sound and lighting system and offers seven luxury suites. Inheriting its name from the legendary original Hard Rock venue, the new Joint carries on the up-close and personal feel with the furthest seat in the house only 155 feet from the stage. In addition, the venue contains four dressing rooms; a top-notch green room and meet-and-greet room; WiFi access with full blogging station for press covering events; ability to transform for boxing, wrestling, mixed martial arts events, corporate functions and trade shows; as well as red carpet movie premieres and advanced screenings.

In Las Vegas, concert-goers get the chance to enjoy musical performances indoors AND outdoors. During the summer, many properties showcase their performers poolside. Green Valley Ranch’s Whiskey Beach, Red Rock Resort, Casino and Spa’s Backyard and Mandalay Beach are just three places audiences can see musical acts such as the Go-Go’s, Seal, Black Eyed Peas and Joe Cocker.

WELL WE HAD A GUYS SECTION NOW ITS FOR THE GIRLS

GIRLS’ GETAWAYS
Sometimes a girl just needs a break from it all. And, what better way to recharge your batteries than with a few of your closest girlfriends? Whether you are celebrating an engagement with a bachelorette party, or celebrating a divorce with a group of other “survivors,” Las Vegas offers a unique destination for women. If you’re looking for a weekend of peace, relaxation and some bonding therapy with the gals, or if you want to live it up and party like never before, Las Vegas offers a wide variety of unique options for the perfect girls’ getaway. Being a girl has never been this much fun!

Your adventure begins the moment you step off the plane. Grab your bags and gather your friends as you head to your resort in style. This weekend is all about you, so forget the long cab line and opt for a limo instead. Limos are available at the airport, but try reserving one through your hotel first. If your group feels more adventurous, rent a luxury convertible and take a cruise down the famous Las Vegas Strip before you arrive at your hotel.

Choosing a resort can seem overwhelming in a city with so many options. Be sure to account for the size of your party, your budget and your ultimate goal. If your weekend involves nothing but pampering and splurging, you’ll discover serenity at a resort such as Encore, The Palazzo, The Four Seasons Las Vegas or The Ritz-Carlton at Lake Las Vegas. Or, choose a different route and stay at a boutique-style hotel such as THEhotel at Mandalay Bay or West Wing at MGM Grand. With their contemporary design and modern decor, these rooms offer a more non-traditional Las Vegas experience. If trendy and offbeat is more to your liking, opt for the Flamingo Las Vegas in a Flamingo Go Room, complete with signature flamingo pink decor, white vinyl headboards, posh carpet and cutting-edge digital accessories.

After exploring your hotel, book your day at the spa. Bellagio guests can enjoy a special package called For the Ladies, which features a 50-minute Aromatherapy massage, a 25-minute Vichy Shower Body Exfoliation, and a 25-minute relaxing, all-natural hydrotherapy bath. Or, host a Pampering Party at Bellagio or at Cristophe Salon at MGM Grand where you and your gals can enjoy private-room manicures, pedicures or other services, all while sipping champagne and indulging in catered cuisine. If you want something a bit more unconventional, try Wet, The Spa at TI, which stays open late into the night so that you can indulge in packages like The Heiress – a golden body scrub, rich golden wrap, and massage with gold oil and sprinkled with gold dust – before you hit the town. Qua Baths and Spa at Caesars Palace, features dark wood décor and relaxing waterfalls. Introducing the concept of “Social Spa-ing,” Qua offers communal areas such as the Laconium Room (providing ultra-heat therapy), the Arctic Ice Room (complete with snow falling from above), and a tea room staffed by a sommelier skilled at pairing teas with treatments offered. The spa also features wet rooms with Vichy showers, a Crystal Body Art room and much more.

Nightlife beckons with myriad options, from ultra lounges and piano bars to hot nightclubs and after-hours venues. Start your night Downtown at Beauty Bar featuring the original martini manicure happy hour. This 1950s-style beauty shop and cocktail lounge offers specialty cocktails such as the Platinum Blonde or the Red Head, live music and, of course, traditional beauty services. While you’re Downtown, check out other popular spots like the famous New York City bar, Hogs & Heifers Saloon, and Gold Diggers nightclub at Golden Nugget.

Do some star gazing at one of Las Vegas’ trendiest nightclubs like LAX at Luxor, TAO Nightclub at The Venetian, Moon Nightclub at Palms and PURE Nightclub at Caesars Palace, where you are sure to spot a celebrity or two.

A girls’ getaway isn’t complete without some eye candy. Spend an evening at Chippendales, The Show at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and ogle handsome male performers as they take the stage to combine music, dance moves and sensual theatrics in this exciting revue. Have a weakness for an Australian accent? Then don’t miss Thunder From Down Under, an intimate male revue at Excalibur Hotel & Casino, featuring high-energy performances from Australia’s hottest hunks.

If male revues are too much for your heart to take, you’ll enjoy a plethora of theatrical productions of a different nature. Take in a Broadway performance such as “The Lion King” at Mandalay Bay or “Phantom, the Las Vegas Spectacular” at The Venetian. Be captivated by “Le Rêve” at Wynn Las Vegas or Cirque du Soleil’s “O” at Bellagio. Laugh out loud to the comic wittiness of Rita Rudner at Harrah’s Las Vegas as she explains the hilarious differences between men and women.

After a crazy night out, spend your days recovering poolside as you soak up the rays of the hot Las Vegas sun. Work on your tan, take a dip in the pristine pool and relax at one of the resorts’ gorgeous pool complexes. After all, you’re on vacation! If you want to see and be seen, consider staying at The Palms or Hard Rock Hotel & Casino where you’ll encounter plenty of poolside action.

When the sun gets too hot, pack up your pool gear and go shopping instead. Las Vegas is every woman’s dream when it comes to shopping. Here, you can find top designer names like Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Coach, Louis Vuitton and Manolo Blahnik. If you’re a deal seeker, you can find many of these same brand names at Las Vegas Premium Outlets, offering more than 120 stores at a savings of 25 to 65 percent every day. Visit Fashion Show Mall and take in the latest styles and trends at live fashion shows daily on the mall’s catwalk. Visit resort malls such as the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace or The Shoppes at Palazzo and get lost in a collection of stores that will send your spirits soaring.

Recharge your batteries with a well deserved chocolate break. The Jean Philippe Patisserie at Bellagio is home to an amazing selection of chocolates, freshly made crepes and delectable pastries, as well as the world’s largest chocolate fountain. Chocolate-lovers will also find paradise at Payard Patisserie & Bistro inside Caesars Palace and
Ethel’s Chocolate Lounge at Fashion Show Mall.

As your adventure comes to an end, choose one of several fine dining restaurants such as Social House at Treasure Island, Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas or Bouchon at The Venetian for a final farewell dinner. Order champagne and toast to all of the joys of being a woman. Las Vegas is sure to be one destination you and the girls won’t soon forget.

Las Vegas’ First Nightclub
In 1930, Frank Detra took a chance and opened Pair O’ Dice, Las Vegas’ first nightclub. Located on what was then known as the new highway to Los Angeles (today, we call it the Las Vegas Strip), the club was open only at night. In addition to bands and jazz performers, the Pair O’ Dice served Italian food. Most notably, the establishment had a
history of closing and re-opening because it sported gaming tables before the city had legalized gaming and served alcohol during Prohibition.

Nine years later, the Pair O’ Dice was sold to police captain and commander of the vice squad Guy McAfee who renamed it the 91 Club.

YES THIS IS A BIG PART OF THE SUMMER!

AFTER ALL GOOD WEATHER IS FROM APRIL TO NOVEMBER WHEN MOST HOTELS IN VEGAS OPEN THERE POOLS AND THE “POOL SCENE IN VEGAS” IS SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT

POOLS
Visitors often choose to vacation to Las Vegas because of its fabulous year-round sunshine. That famous desert dry heat can make lounging by the hotel pool for the day sound like paradise. It’s no surprise, then, that the pools in Las Vegas are popular, but it’s not just because they are a great way to beat the heat. Guests spend hours soaking up the sun simply because Las Vegas has some of the coolest pools in the world.

The Palazzo Las Vegas brings the opulence of the French Riviera to the Las Vegas Strip with AZURE. This fresh and exciting pool concept was created with luxury amenities in mind including spa services by Canyon Ranch SpaClub, culinary offerings by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and high-style fashion shows each Saturday.

Wet Republic, at MGM Grand, is an alluring 53,000-square-foot venue comprised of two large saltwater pools, six intimate dipping pools, six tricked-out Bungalows and 10 Party Cabanas. The adults-only pool destination features a 2,500-square-foot lounge serving as a place to mix, mingle, dance and dine. A 4,100-square-foot pool deck doubles as an entertainment stage for celebrity guests and entertainers at WET REPUBLIC’s weekly and monthly signature events. Eight state-of-the-art underwater speakers in the main pools complement the top-tier sound system. WET REPUBLIC features six cascading waterfalls to accent the vast poolscape and create the illusion of a never-ending flow of water throughout the venue.

Only Las Vegas can bring the ocean and the beach to the desert. Mandalay Bay actually trucked in more than 1,700 tons of sand from Southern California for its 11-acre tropical water environment. The area includes a 1.6-million-gallon wave pool with waves that reach as high as five feet, three swimming pools and a jogging track. The resort’s lazy river is 3.25 feet deep and stretches around the entire pool deck. Mandalay Bay has added Las Vegas’ only climate-controlled poolside gaming venue. Just a few feet from crystal-clear waves, a three-story, glass-fronted Beach Casino invites guests to indulge at their leisure. The first level offers a casual bar and grill while the second level features table games with expansive, open-air views. On the third floor, guests will find the spectacular Villas Soleil, luxury pool villas ranging from 250 to 500 square feet. With your toes buried in the sand and with a refreshing cocktail in hand, it can be difficult to remember that you’re in the middle of the Mojave Desert!

From a tropical beach to an ancient Roman oasis, you’ll discover a place truly fit for the immortal at Garden of the Gods Pool at Caesars Palace. The ancient Romans revered water for its healing powers and indulged in the luxury of public baths among fragrant gardens. Surrounded by marble statues and relaxing fountains, you’ll appreciate that Roman ideology as you enjoy four sapphire pools and two whirlpool spas. Enjoy private, European sunbathing at The Venus Pool, a newly redesigned piece of heaven offering 12 poolside cabanas.

Relaxation is first priority at The Mirage. The ultimate in poolside pampering, Bare, an experience apart from the resort’s typical pool complex, is defined by its distinctive, contemporary ambiance and ultra VIP service. The DJ-spun music mix sets a lively mood as guests enjoy European sunbathing while secluded by towering palms. Two luxury dipping pools create a temptingly cool respite from the hot Vegas sun. Specialty food items and cocktail service are always offered in addition to complimentary services such as chilled cucumbers to soothe the eyes, iced towels, exotic frozen fruit, icy popsicles and Evian misting bottles.

Set in a sprawling 15-acre tropical retreat, the pool at Flamingo Las Vegas includes the Flamingo’s adults-only GO Pool offering European-style sunbathing in a secluded area. Get the perfect tan with the resort’s very own tan ambassadors, equipped with a variety of SPFs, aloe and more. Indulge in refreshing drink specials, rent a luxury cabana or participate in popular water activities such as floating beer pong and water volleyball.

The Stratosphere Hotel & Casino has announced the addition of bikini blackjack to the newly renovated pool area. Bikini-clad blackjack dealers provide a unique gaming experience each Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer. The new pool area also offers upgraded cabanas and daily activities. The pool area is located on the 8th floor of the Stratosphere.

If your idea of fun is a pool party, look no further than The Palms. Recently remodeled, the pool area and bungalows span two acres and can accommodate up to 3,000 guests. Perhaps the pool’s most unique feature is The Glass Bar. Located under an elevated, glass-bottomed pool, bar patrons merely have to look up for some unique scenery of guests swimming overhead. The pool area also features 27 contemporary cabanas and even three poolside bungalows, where overnight guests can watch live concerts and events from the comfort of their king-sized beds.

The party continues at TAO Beach, a seductive and sophisticated Asian-themed beach club and an extension of the already popular TAO Nightclub at The Venetian. By day, guests can secure a reservation to lounge poolside in one of seven luxury cabanas that feature such amenities as high-definition plasma screen televisions with X-Box gaming consoles, a DVD library, internet and customized mini bars. Other amenities include sunglass cleaning, iPOD rental and a staff of masseuses. As night falls, guests find themselves in an open-air nightclub featuring a floating dance floor, four 14-foot fire columns and high-energy music.

After a crazy night out on the town, you may just need a full day to recover from that hangover before you do it all over again. That’s why the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino offers Rehab every Sunday at the pool during the summer season. This exclusive daytime “recovery” session offers therapy in the form of palm-shaded sandy beaches, blue water and some of the most beautiful bodies Las Vegas has to offer. In fact, if your poolside agenda has you concerned about missing out on the casino action, don’t be! You don’t even have to get out of the water to enjoy the excitement of blackjack at the swim-up Palapa Bar in the center of Hard Rock’s watery playground.

From swimming with card sharks at the Hard Rock to swimming with the real thing at downtown’s Golden Nugget…dive into all the action at the Golden Nugget’s newest aquatic attraction, The Tank, a $20-million pool complete with a 200,000-gallon shark tank, three-story waterslide and well-appointed cabanas. Thrill in the excitement of swimming inches away from sharks and other marine life!

If you feel safer on dry land and long for the comforts (and security!) of being indoors, then a poolside cabana may be the answer. Nearly every major property features luxurious cabanas offering a variety of amenities including large, cushioned lounge chairs on individual patios, marble tables, private dressing areas, phones, flat-screen televisions, misting systems, ceiling fans, wet bars and refrigerators. Loews Lake Las Vegas Resort has themed pool cabanas including The Fisher-Price® KidBana, the SpahhhBana and the BizBana. The KidBana provides activities, toys and games and includes snacks and child-friendly movies. The SpahhhBana offers an enhanced level of quiet, relaxation and escape featuring magazines, use of an iPOD, herbal teas, chilled towels and more. The BizBana is complete with wireless internet connection, office supplies, business and financial books and magazines and an endless supply of coffee. The Loews Themed Cabanas are available for a fee for guests staying at the resort.

Here is the full press release:

You don’t have to be a celebrity to be treated like one at the soon-to-open HOTEL32. Located on Monte Carlo’s top floor, the exclusive boutique hotel, opening August 10, will offer the escape savvy travelers search for but seldom find; a celebrity VIP experience, available to all.

Right from the start you’ll know you have found something special as you are whisked away from the airport in a limo. When you arrive through the grand porte cochere at Monte Carlo, a Suite Assistant will be waiting to personally escort you to HOTEL32 via a private, express elevator, accessible by key card only. No check-in desk here; you proceed directly to your retreat and check in privately within the comfort of your room, leaving those registration lines behind. The Suite Assistant will provide a tour of your room’s features, amenities and services, ensuring you won’t miss out on even a moment of indulgence, from the 12 pillow offerings to the popular Nintendo Wii.

A collection of five room types, ranging from studios to 2-bedroom penthouses, will allow choices to fit every occasion and budget. Whether you want a romantic getaway or a fun-filled girls’ or guys’ weekend, the suites have been carefully designed to provide entertainment spaces suitable for everything from intimate gatherings to social events.

Each room’s sleek, uncluttered architecture will be paired with contemporary furnishings and luxurious amenities. The rich colors of chocolate and cream will be accented with citrine, turquoise, amethyst, ruby and orange, to set a tone of warmth and sophistication. Comfy, oversized custom furnishings along with a variety of hand-selected stone surfaces, including marble, onyx and granite, will create a place where you can hang out and feel like the ultimate VIP.

The comfort will continue within the spacious bathrooms, rich in detail and design. Providing a serene, spa-like sanctuary, each suite will feature soothing hydrotherapy soaking tubs. A shower with modish overhead panels which produce a gentle rainfall throughout the enclosure — and chromatherapy, the use of colored lights for added relaxation, will be another highlight in many of the suites.

If you like gadgets, unexpected high-tech amenities won’t disappoint. Available in several suite types, a Crestron remote system will make for an easy, one-stop control of the room’s drapes, lights and electronics; a BluRay player and a TV integrated into the bathroom mirror also will increase the “fun” factor. HDTV flat-screen plasma television, use of an iPod touch with mobile concierge application, and iHome clock radio with an iPod docking station will be standard in all HOTEL32 accommodations.

For business travelers and people who want to stay connected, laptop computers will be available upon request, and a tech-savvy workstation will feature complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access and dual phone lines. Other complimentary amenities will include fax services, local and toll-free calls as well as daily fitness center passes, newspaper and water. All are provided to help ease the strain of having to work while in such a glamorous setting.

What would a celebrity-like experience be without someone at your beck and call? All HOTEL32 guests will have exclusive access to a dedicated Suite Assistant, who will provide butler and concierge services throughout the stay. From the curbside greeting and a custom itinerary to fit individual interests to bath services and complimentary clothes pressing, Suite Assistants will make it hard to go back to “everyday” life. At HOTEL32, where everyone is a VIP, touches such as a welcome amenity, a signature turndown gift and a pre-stocked refrigerator based on the guest’s preferences will make every guest feel special.

Pairing stunning views of the Las Vegas skyline with a delectable assortment of refreshments and evening cocktails, lounge32 will enhance the pampering a step further. Located on the 32nd floor and available to all HOTEL32 guests, lounge32 will be a great spot for grabbing a cup of coffee before the spa or sipping a martini before an evening out on the town.

Eva Longoria Parker’s celebrated steakhouse, Beso, was named “Best New Restaurant” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal 2010 Annual Best of Las Vegas readers’ poll.

The Las Vegas interpretation, situated directly beneath her opulent nightclub Eve, is Longoria Parker’s second restaurant, modeled after her popular, original Beso in Hollywood. Since opening in December 2009 at Crystals in the world-renowned CityCenter complex, Beso has quickly become a favorite hotspot among locals and celebrities alike.

“The City of Las Vegas has provided such an amazing platform for me to expand the Beso Restaurant franchise, and I am beyond thrilled that it has been named ‘Best New Restaurant’ by the Las Vegas Review-Journal,” said Longoria Parker.

Beso, the Spanish word for kiss, combines Longoria Parker’s Latin heritage and her passion for cooking with the culinary talents of celebrated chef, Todd English. The result is an array of memorable dishes, from flavorful, tender cuts of aged beef to an assortment of fresh ceviche selections. The 6,000-square-foot interior features oversized windows showcasing breathtaking views of CityCenter’s striking architecture with premium views of the ARIA fountains. Beso’s intimate patio overlooks the ARIA porte cochere, offering outdoor dining year round, while the chic lounge brings forth a vivacious mix-and-mingle atmosphere – a premium location to enjoy before-dinner drinks or sip cocktails before guests make their way up to Eve nightclub.

Beso is located at 3720 Las Vegas Boulevard, South, in Crystals at CityCenter. The dining room and patio are open Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. until 11 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until midnight. The lounge is open Sunday through Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. from until 11 p.m., and Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. For more information about Beso, please visit the website at www.besolasvegas.com or call 702.254.BESO (2376).

The boxing game event between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Sugar Shane Mosley has just ended. It was held today, May 1, 2010 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Nevada and attended by various boxers and celebrities.

The boxing fight was sparked by excitement as these two great boxing fighters threw punches to each other during the first few rounds of the game. There was a time where the crowd shouted for Mosley since he aggressively threw punches to Mayweather consecutively.

However, excitement slowed down and boredom started to grow during the rest of the game as these two boxing fighters began hugging each other without bringing much action in the boxing ring for their spectators worldwide.

Mayweather dominated most of the rounds and he was finally announced as the winner of the Welterweight bout in Round 12 via a unanimous decision by the judges. Mayweather remained undefeated.

Perhaps, it would be more exciting if Mayweather would face Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao in the boxing ring. This is the most awaited event of all boxing fans in the world.

Hopefully, both Pacquiao and Mayweather would come to a resolution about the drug test case so that their boxing match will push through.

Free Time in Vegas!

Book your trip to Vegas and take advantage of dozens of free attractions!

Las Vegas has so many things to offer, it’s hard to choose what to pack into your vacation schedule — from award-winning dining, A-list shows, top-rated spas, and the best hotel rooms on the planet.  But you don’t have to spend a fortune in Vegas when there are dozens of free attractions to fill your days and nights.

One of the most popular attractions is the Fountains of Bellagio, made famous in the movie Ocean’s Eleven.  And for more than 20 years, the Mirage’s Volcano erupts nightly, spewing smoke and fire hundreds of feet in the air!  You can catch world-famous circus acts – from jugglers to trapeze artists – at the center ring of Circus Circus hotel.  Or enjoy classic entertainment at The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes.  Throughout the day and night, be serenaded by opera singers, gondoliers, and classical musicians.

Looking for a quiet retreat just off the Strip?  Wynn Las Vegas’ Lake of Dreams is a secluded wonderland with towering pine trees and a 3-acre hidden lake; and don’t miss the enchanted shows that take place nightly!  If you hear gun shots, don’t be alarmed – just cross the street to Treasure Island (TI) where a battle is brewing between pirate ships at Sirens of TI.  This free show takes places evenings and always brings down a ship!

How about FREE popcorn at the movies?  That’s a brilliant idea!  And it’s a reality at the Las Vegas Hilton with your paid admission.  The new Giordano Theatre showcases the best independent movies in a comfortable and intimate showroom with just 60 seats.  Now that’s not your ordinary theater.  And to make things more enjoyable, while watching films in a state-of-the-art digital theater, you can order food from the hotel room-service menu — and of course, unlimited popcorn!

The sky is the limit in Las Vegas and The Rio Hotel takes that concept literally.  Check out the Show in the Sky, a parade of entertainment that floats above the casino floor; singers, dancers, and costumed characters provide daily entertainment along with casino servers who stop and perform impromptu songs at various locations throughout the casino!  For a more fashion forward show, check out the free catwalk at Fashion Show Mall, where top local models showcase clothes on the runway that you can actually purchase at the mall!

Hooters Beer SpecialHooters Las Vegas hotel is offering $1.50 Bud and Bud Light beers at all casino bars. People seem to think of Hooters as being back off of The Strip. But in reality, the Hooters entrance sits directly across from the porte-cochere of the MGM Grand. It is a longer walk from The Strip to the restaurants in the back of the MGM than it is to Hooters!

Note: While it appears t he promotion is indefinite, it never hurts to call ahead and check. PLEASE don’t be that person that emails us in 2011 going We were staying downtown and we went all the way to Hooters just for the beer special you talked about… and they weren’t running anymore. Even if you have to pay a buck to call from your hotel room (where applicable), it is always wise to check out whether a deal is still running before making a special trek.

3000 More Rooms – Work is moving along nicely on The Cosmopolitan, two 50-story towers next to CityCenter. This will put additional downward pressure on room rates, keeping Las Vegas’ reputation as an extreme value intact for at least the next 9-12 months.

Rockhouse Las Vegas Adds Bar Food To Its Ultra Dive Bar Lineup – Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub, the only ultra-dive bar on the Las Vegas Strip, has introduced a delicious ultra-dive bar menu. Now Rockhouse revelers can sober up with mouthwatering grub after a game of beer pong or take a break from the dance floor to chow down on some chimichangas

FlyteChannel, on channel 50 in guest rooms, shows cities, flight numbers, scheduled and actual arrival/departure times, airline logos, and gates. Flights are sorted by city names to allow guests to quickly check flights and identify alternative flights if necessary. FlyteChannel is currently available in all guest rooms.

Hottest Month Ever In Las Vegas – Many of you may have heard that July 2010 was the hottest month ever here in Las Vegas with an average temperature of 96.2 F.

Just a note: This record wa s a bit deceiving. We didn’t once bump up against the all-time record (117), with the warmest few days clocking in at 113. The difference was the overnight temperatures. The growth of Las Vegas has creates lots more asphalt and concrete that absorb and hold heat through the night. In addition, new homes are generally not allowed to have lawns. Lawns don’t hold heat overnight, and actually cool the temps when they are watered (like the cooling you get when sitting under a mister).

And… the local water utility has paid significant sums of money to homes and businesses as an incentive to remove their lawns in the name of water conservation. We’re into August, and overnight lows the past few days were in the 70’s and temps have otherwise returned to slightly below average for the month so far.

Fremont Street Experience Garners Top 10 Award – We’ve never hid our love of downtown Las Vegas (the Fremont Street Experience, aka “old Las Vegas”. TripAdvisor concurs and has recently named Fremont Street Experience as one of the “Top 10: Free Things To Do in the United States.” Also included on the list are: the Big Apple Greeter and the Staten Island Ferry in New York, the Pearl Harbor exhibit in Hawaii, the Garden of Gods in Colorado, Samuel Adams Brewery in Massachusetts, the Jelly Belly Factory in California, Hershey’s Chocolate World in Pennsylvania, the St. Louis Zoo in Missouri, and D.C. by Foot in Washington, D.C.

Honestly, if you have not been downtown to Fremont Street, you have not seen all of Las Vegas. Getting there is simple: Just get on any northbound Ace or Duece bus running along The Strip. Get off at the end of the line and you are there! Make sure to go between sunset and midnight so you’ll catch the overhead light shows and endless free entertainment.

Visitation Numbers Show Significant Rise – Nearly 5% more visitors came to Las Vegas in July 2010 (over 3.3 million total visitors for the month) than did in July 2009. It was the largest jump since December of 2005. A couple of times per month, I get a “We’re never coming back to Las Vegas” email. Well… someone else is enjoying a Las Vegas vacation in your place!

To those who have repeatedly rang the death knell for Las Vegas the past few years and have openly mocked people like me who said “It’s not that bad, it will be fine, Las Vegas is still fun, people will be back” I simply say this:

we said it first!

Wynn Las Vegas continues to set the bar for luxury and excellence in Las Vegas and unveils the first completely renovated resort rooms at Wynn. Designed by Roger Thomas, Executive Vice President of Design for Wynn Design and Development, the rooms feature rich new finishes–including wallpaper, carpets, chairs, couches and lamps–while maintaining the functionality, spaciousness, configuration and casually elegant residential quality that has become the hallmark of Wynn resorts. The renovation project at Wynn Las Vegas encompasses all guest rooms and suites and is slated to continue through early 2011.

“Wynn has been open for just over five years, and we felt is was time to do more than just refresh the rooms, but to really give them a completely different feel,” said Wynn Las Vegas and Encore President Andrew Pascal. “The new rooms are fresh and crisp and light; they are incredibly uplifting.”

Thomas, who has designed guest rooms for Steve Wynn for 30 years, adds, “While we have always designed our guest accommodations to be residential, this line is so luxurious and so beautiful, I could take it home with me! This is the way I live.”

The new Resort Deluxe room offers a modern update to our classic resort room. Featuring a crisp, neutral and creamy decor, the Resort Deluxe is draped in natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows and accented by an array of contemporary furnishings and fabrics. Additional, advance technologies including remotely controlled lighting, drapery and room service messaging are the pinnacle of guest convenience and privacy. Choose between one king bed or two double beds in this 640 square-foot retreat with a view of our golf course or the Las Vegas Strip.

Views of the Las Vegas Strip and the 18-hole golf course are the centerpieces of the upgraded Panoramic View Deluxe room–an enhanced hideaway featuring wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows. Evocative of a residence yet as indulgent as a retreat, this newly renovated room is enriched with a bright, buttery palette and bespoke furnishings. Fully automated and more intuitive than ever, the Panoramic View Deluxe is offered as a king or a double room.

There is no need to choose your view when your room is situated on a corner, where the bright lights of The Strip meet the natural beauty of our 18-hole golf course. The freshly redecorated Panoramic Corner View Deluxe rooms also reside at the intersection of timeless design and classic comfort. Light-infused, uplifting decor is complimented by a refurbished repertoire of casually elegant furniture and fabrics and an updated array of advanced technologies that allow lighting, draperies and room service messaging to be controlled with the touch of a finger, from the bedside.

the merger has been approved which will hopefully bring great connections and lower fares to las vegas!

Rock icon Rod Stewart announced today that he will play eight performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace November 6-21. These performances follow a record-breaking summer tour with 33 sold out shows including dates in the UK, Ireland, Europe and as far reaching as Moscow, Dubai and Tel Aviv. For the first time ever, Stewart will play all of his greatest hits spanning his career of five decades in an intimate and up-close setting in Las Vegas. Fans who have seen his amazing, high energy shows in arenas & stadiums will now be able to see him in a much smaller and more intimate venue. This special engagement run of eight shows is presented jointly by Caesars Palace and AEG Live.

“For some years now, AEG Live has been wanting me to do a residency show in Vegas. I decided it was time to give it a try but I thought ‘first, let’s try 2 weeks instead of 2 years though’,” said Rod Stewart. “Who knows what this could lead to? I know that my band, background singers, and I are going to enjoy performing in such an intimate setting and having the chance for the fans to be in close proximity while hearing all the hits.”

Dates for the limited engagement are November 6, 7, 10, 14, 17, 18, 20, and 21. All shows begin at 8pm.

Rod Stewart has one of the greatest and most distinctive voices in rock history—no less than the Godfather of Soul, James Brown, called Stewart “the best white soul singer.” With an estimated 250 million in combined album and single sales, Stewart is one of the most successful live performers of all time. According to the Guinness World Records, Stewart drew the largest audience ever when he performed in front of 3.5 million people for a New Year’s Eve 1994 concert on the beach in Rio de Janeiro.

With his career in its fifth decade, Stewart has achieved numerous solo hit singles worldwide, most notably in the UK, where he has garnered six consecutive number one albums and his tally of 62 hit singles include 24 that reached the top 10, six of which gained the number one position. His hit singles include “Maggie May,” “Tonight’s the Night,” “Hot Legs,” “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?,” “Forever Young,” “Young Turks,” “Rhythm of My Heart,” “Some Guys Have All the Luck,” “Have I Told You Lately?,” “Stay With Me,” and “First Cut is the Deepest.” For more information, visit www.rodstewart.com.

Rod Stewart will release his latest album, Fly Me to the Moon…The Great American Songbook, Volume V, on October 19th. Starting Tuesday, September 28th, fans who pre-order the new album from RodStewart.com will also receive a special password to pre-order tickets for the upcoming run of shows at The Colosseum.

The Vdara Hotel las vegas

The  Vdara city centre is a city centre hotel with a bridge link to the Bellagio and is only across the road from Aria. Both of which are casino hotels which of course casinos are one of the most popular things to do in Vegas! However the Vdara hotel is a non-gaming and non-smoking hotel not a loss, but a fresh get away from the bright lights for a peaceful nights sleep and change of scene.  Keeping in tune with this the hotel offers an excellent spa and salon on two levels as well as a fitness centre for its guests with use of the gym, sauna and steam room all included for free.. On arriving our bags were taken from us by polite staff and later brought up to our room which made our arrival stress free and allowed us to wonder straight over to the bar first for a cocktail served by friendly staff at a nicely decorated bar- Perfect after a long flight. The decor didn’t go amiss with its lovely boutique style where we found ourselves sat on comfortable velvet chairs. This style ran throughout the hotel and outside was garden area with seating and a water feature that was accessible at all times, but for me it was where I enjoyed a morning coffee. The perfect spot to sit and reflect on an entertaining evening the night before spent at a Vegas show! Our room was situated on the 23rd floor there were plenty of large mirrored lifts (six in total) which swiftly  took us up. The room was large with a nice layout that consisted of a separate lounge area and kitchen/diner. The huge windows went the full width of the room with automatic blinds and blackout blinds. If you are looking at Vegas on a budget this hotel offers you a self catered holiday. You can make yourself at home with handy kitchen appliances like the fridge, microwave and hob. Not to mention a stocked bar fridge… The bed faced a large flat screen TV which was similar to that also found in the lounge. All decor gave made the room very modern, yet comfortable. Such luxury in Las Vegas tends to conform to this modern, yet comfortable design. The pool on the third floor was aside the hotel on a roof top.  Again very modern and surrounded by mirrored buildings of other hotels that reflected the sunshine into this area even more. The pool is a good size and a great place to have your breakfast.  The lobby had a cafe with takeaway options but also a very small eat-in area. First thing in the morning it gets very busy but they always had sufficient staff of at least five to keep the queue moving quickly. Overall nice coffee, fresh fruit, pastries and hot food.

P.s

It’s on June 19th

The title says it all. That is exactly how I would describe Las Vegas as a dish… The Spicy bright lights of lively nights, the Salty covering of your trip which you know you may only have a dose of & the sweet and sour results of the casino.

Pan-Asian food at WAZUZU in Las Vegas sums up this taste of Las Vegas in similar tasting dishes. A perfect balance of spicy, salty, sweet and sour to take you away into the spectacular mix that is Las Vegas. I would call it one of the top vegas restaurants for its detail to taste.

This restaurant can be found in Wynn Las Vegas, Encore, which holds more Forbes five star awards then any other casino resort in the world and you can see this. For you, we offer cheap deals to the Wynn hotel.

The experience will cost you about $50 for yourself and a friend. Try the Thai Beef salad, Shu Mai, or Chef Matsu special! Oh Luxury las vegas!

I guarantee this restaurant will revive you after a day of shopping at the crystal shopping mall or before an evening of the general high flying vegas nightlife.

Let us save you money on your travel with fantastic exclusive deals that will offer you a cheap flight (return) and fabulous deals on your hotels in a well recommended area for your experience to begin…

I’m sure everyone has an opinion on the best hotel in Las Vegas, but I want to tell my fellow coffee lovers where they can get their kick las Vegas style.  A real coffee drinker knows that a good coffee is part of an experience as well as that authentic taste. We all stick to our favourite coffee house or brand and with some of our cheapest flights to las Vegas its hardly too extravagant to fly out for a strong sip of Las Vegas…

But for now lets think of this as a part of your trip out there, just when you think you’ve seen it all. Let me take you back to The Sands Hotel. A historic Las Vegas Strip hotel/casino which ran in the 1950s-1996. As the seventh resort to open on the strip it had the privalidge of hosting stars of the day such as Jack Benny, Jan Murray and Buddy Hackett just to name a few.

So what made this place so attractive?

It was renowned for its garden coffee shop open late night where people could mingle with the stars and revive themselves after a night amongst the bright lights.

In its prime time, like most of the resorts and hotels The Sands was ‘mobbed up’ during the Rat pack years. If you aren’t familiar the Rat Pack they were a group of well known actors, whose name was given to them by the press and general pubic.

Being the cool place to be on the strip, where waitresses walked about in gowns and served coffee till early hours of the morning to the rich, the famous and its loyal coffee drinkers.

Now that I have enriched you with this knowledge let me take you to The Peppermill. Founded originally as a coffee shop and lounge in the 1970s, this beauty still stands. Open 24 hours, no dress code, but 40 years of committment to the Las Vegas coffee lounge experience. Although the property has seen a huge expansion of a number of additions and renovations to its original set up the coffee lounge still offers its $5 coffee. It can only be described as the swankiest coffee lounge representing the old-school Vegas.

Being named one of “Americas Best Make-Out Bars” I believe we can get a good idea of this real vegas style coffee house. A stunning fireside lounge centre of a dark relaxing room, with a glow of vegas charm. Seat yourself with your partner, or friends, in its cozy intimate booths where the mobs once gathered to enjoy quiet conversation.

You will be pleased that this experience is still on offer to you and little has changed. Of course since the 70s it now has its modern touches with flat screen monitors around the room. However, nothing can distract you from the fireside which holds the artifact of Vegas’ fiery era.

If your taking a loved one or friends along to Las Vegas with us then make sure you take a seat here by the fire. Order yourself a coffee at 4am after the Vegas nightlife of exciting gambling, or 4 o’clock after an afternoon of elegant shopping.  Just let yourself drink up the experience of Las Vegas into your system before you head back to your Hotels, or back into the buzz.

Day 4: Grand Canyon – Lake Powell

This morning you will have ample time to explore the Grand Canyon. Behold amazing views of the canyon with a drive along the South Rim. Theodore Roosevelt, upon visiting the canyon, is quoted as saying, “This is one of the great sights which every American, if he can travell at all, must see.” Later, a short drive brings you to Cameron Trading Post. For nearly a century, the post has been a haven for travellers, traders, and explorers who come from all points of the globe to see the wonder of the Grand Canyon and experience the Native American cultures of the Southwest. Day 6: Lake Powell – Bryce Canyon National Park – Zion National Park

Today, travell to Bryce Canyon National Park, truly one of the most spectacular scenic wonders of the world. Iron oxidizing within the rock causes the natural orange and red hues that colour these formations. Your final destination for the day is the red and white sandstone cliffs of Zion National Park**. In sheer magnitude and colour, Zion is very likely one of the most awe-inspiring national parks in the world. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

Climb aboard Zion’s open-air cable-car to truly experience spectacular scenery as you wind alongside the Virgin River through the 2,400 foot deep, 1/2 mile wide Zion Canyon. Probably the most famous stretch of road in the world, its 4 miles of neon-lit resorts with around-the-clock action is like nowhere else on earth. A two-night stay provides you plenty of time to enjoy the shows, the casinos and all the fun. Today breakfast will be included.

Today is yours to do as you please. Lounge by the pool sipping cool drinks, experience an amazing one-of-a-kind show, go hiking, or try your luck in the casino. Or perhaps explore the hotels on the strip with themes that capture your attention as you get swept away by the wonders inside. Take time to visit Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef aquarium or stop by the Luxor to see the sphinxes and pyramid. New York-New York brings the “Big Apple” to life right on the Vegas strip. See the Eiffel Tower, “ooh” and “ahh” at the Mirage volcano, or watch pirates battle at Treasure Island. The Las Vegas strip brings the world to you. Today breakfast and dinner will be included.

Depart for home with amazing memories of your holiday.

Experience It! _________________________ Monument Valley

Included with your Canyon Country holiday is a jeep tour of Monument Valley – one of the most dramatic lands in all of North America.  Discover this amazing area through an interpretative tour led by a member of the Navajo tribe.

The Navajos have lived in this flat, often desolate landscape for centuries. As you ride across the dry plain you’ll pass deep red mesas and sandstone towers, many of them rising hundreds of feet into the air. “Stagecoach,” “How the West was Won” and “Back to the Future II” were all filmed in Monument Valley. It’s a landscape as beautiful as it is barren – and an experience that will stay in your memory forever. Nature’s breathtaking beauty surrounds you as you learn more about Native American history at Monument Valley.
